All Stapelstein® Original, Board, and Inside pieces are made from a single material: EPP. The plastic is
100% recyclable through our Take Back Program, which allows you to return used Stapelstein® pieces so they can be reintroduced into the recycling cycle.
If you’d like to return your Stapelstein blocks, please email us at hi@stapelstein.de. Our Stapelstein blocks comply with the Toy Safety Standard (EN 71) and are also free of phthalates.
Three Stapelstein® color variants are made from EPP containing recycled material. The recycled content is certified by RecyClass:
● Pink: 90% recycled EPP.
This raw material has a CO₂ footprint that is 55% lower per kilogram than the same EPP made from virgin material.
● Black: 25% recycled EPP.
A CO₂ footprint that is 16% lower than the same EPP made from virgin material.
● Light green: 15% recycled material from marine waste.
7% lower CO₂ footprint per kilogram than the same EPP made from virgin material.
All figures are provided by our material supplier and refer to one kilogram of raw material. All other colors are made from virgin EPP.
